GALLEY KITCHEN

Designed and built for the refurbishment of a 1985 suburb house, this bespoke kitchen was created to fit seamlessly within the existing space while reflecting a shared appreciation for mid-century design. The kitchen was designed around a parallel layout to create an efficient and intuitive workflow, keeping preparation, cooking and storage areas easily accessible while providing a practical environment for everyday use.

The doors are crafted from Jatoba hardwood throughout, with custom handles made from the offcuts to create a consistent material palette. Generous roundovers across the full overlay doors soften every edge, creating a tactile finish that invites touch and gives the kitchen a comfortable, lived-in feel. Birch plywood carcasses provide a durable structure, while solid maple drawer boxes and soft-close hardware ensure the kitchen is built for everyday use.

A natural marble worktop introduces a subtle organic contrast to the rich tones of the timber, bringing a sense of the rainforest into the space.
